Membership Terms

The terms that govern participation in the Lake Lovers Membership program, including Explorer, Voyager, and Lakebound+ tiers.

1. Membership Overview

These Membership Terms (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Lake Lovers Membership program (“Membership”), including all tiers: Explorer, Voyager, and Lakebound+. By subscribing to or using any Membership tier, you agree to these Terms, as well as the Lakebound Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

“Lakebound,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Lakebound platform and its operating entity.

Lakebound offers three Membership tiers:

  • Explorer (Free)
  • Voyager (Paid)
  • Lakebound+ (Premium Paid)

Each tier includes different features, benefits, and pricing. Lakebound may update or modify Membership tiers at any time.

2. Eligibility

To enroll in the Membership, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Create a Lakebound account
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Agree to these Terms

3. Membership Tiers & Benefits

3.1 Explorer (Free Tier)

Explorer is a free tier designed for casual users.

Includes:

  • Access to lake guides
  • Basic search and discovery
  • Ability to save favorites
  • Limited itineraries

Explorer members may upgrade at any time.

3.2 Voyager (Paid Tier)

Voyager is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually.

Includes:

  • Early access to stays
  • 5–10% discounts at participating marinas & restaurants
  • Priority access to guides
  • Seasonal itineraries
  • Member-only content
  • Annual booking credits (non-refundable, non-transferable)

Pricing: $8–$12/month or $79/year

Pricing may vary by region or promotional period.

3.3 Lakebound+ (Premium Tier)

Lakebound+ is our premium subscription tier.

Includes:

  • All Voyager benefits
  • 15–20% partner discounts
  • Free upgrades or perks at participating premium hotels (subject to availability)
  • Exclusive events (sunset cruises, tastings, workshops)
  • Concierge trip planning
  • Priority support
  • Annual “Lake Weekend” credit (terms apply)

Pricing: $20–$25/month or $199/year

4. Billing & Renewal

4.1 Automatic Renewal

All paid Memberships automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before renewal.

4.2 Payment Authorization

By subscribing, you authorize Lakebound to charge your selected payment method for:

  • Recurring subscription fees
  • Applicable taxes
  • Any add-on purchases

4.3 Price Changes

Lakebound may update Membership pricing.

You will be notified in advance, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

5. Discounts, Credits & Perks

5.1 Partner Discounts

Discounts at marinas, restaurants, guides, outfitters, and hotels:

  • Are provided by participating partners
  • May vary by partner
  • May be changed or withdrawn at any time
  • Cannot be combined with other offers unless stated

Lakebound is not responsible for partner pricing or availability.

5.2 Booking Credits

Voyager and Lakebound+ credits:

  • Are non-cash, non-refundable, and non-transferable
  • Must be used within the calendar year issued
  • May have blackout dates or partner restrictions

5.3 Lake Weekend Credit (Lakebound+)

The annual Lake Weekend credit:

  • Is subject to availability
  • May require advance booking
  • May be limited to select properties or regions
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash

5.4 Events & Experiences

Lakebound+ events may have:

  • Limited capacity
  • Registration requirements
  • Weather-related or operational changes

Lakebound is not responsible for cancellations or changes made by partners.

6. Concierge Services (Lakebound+)

Concierge trip planning:

  • Provides recommendations only
  • Does not guarantee availability
  • May vary by region and season

7. Cancellations & Refunds

7.1 Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your Membership at any time.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7.2 No Refunds

Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

8. Changes to Membership Features

Lakebound may modify, add, or remove Membership features at any time.

Significant changes will be communicated in advance.

9. Partner Participation

Partners may join or leave the Lakebound ecosystem at any time.

Lakebound does not guarantee:

  • Partner availability
  • Discount levels
  • Service quality
  • Booking availability

Your interactions with partners are solely between you and the partner.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Members may not:

  • Misuse discounts or credits
  • Create multiple accounts to exploit benefits
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Violate Lakebound’s Terms of Use

Lakebound may suspend or terminate Membership for violations.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lakebound is not liable for:

  • Partner actions or omissions
  • Travel disruptions
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Membership is to cancel your subscription.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lakebound operates.

Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in that jurisdiction’s courts.
